Pfänder tunnel - A14 Rheintal and Walgauautobahn - S16 Arlberg expressway.
From the West (CH, FL)
Via Chur - motorway from Zurich / Chur - exit Gams - Principality of Liechtenstein (FL) - Feldkirch / Tisis - through Feldkirch in the direction of Bludenz / Innsbruck - Walgauautobahn A14 - S16 Arlberg expressway.
Via St. Gallen motorway from Zurich / St. Gallen - Exit Oberriet-Meiningen - Motorway A14 in direction Bludenz from Auffahrt Rankweil - Ambergtunnel A14 - S16 Arlberg expressway.
From the East (A)
Over the Arlbergpass - S 16 Arlberg expressway. Through the Arlberg tunnel (toll road) - S 16 Arlberg expressway.
Arrival in winter
In winter, snowfall is expected and winter tires are compulsory. The transport of snow chains is also recommended. You can get information about the winter road conditions by calling Klostertal Tourism Office.

Vignettes are valid on all motorways and highways, in Vorarlberg on the A14 and S16. Vignettes are available at: automobile clubs, toll booths, gas stations, tobacconists and in the supermarket in Klösterle as well as in the "Spar" supermarket Leu in Dalaas.

Arlberg expressway (S16 - Arlberg tunnel):
The Arlberg Tunnel will be closed from 15 April to 22 November 2024. No digital route toll tickets are available during this period. You can find more information about this on the ASFINAG website at www.asfinag.at.
